Troubleshoot reCAPTCHA issues
We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our platform from bots and automated abuse. It runs quietly in the background to verify that a real person is using the site. When the system cannot confidently confirm this, certain actions may be blocked.
Why a user might fail a reCAPTCHA check
Below are the most common reasons a score may be too low, along with what the user can do to fix it.1. Browser or device appears suspicious
Possible causes:- Using privacy‑focused browsers, ad blockers, or extensions that alter scripts.
- Browser not updated.
- Using incognito/private mode.
- Disable extensions temporarily.
- Try a standard browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox).
- Update the browser.
- Try outside incognito mode.
2. Network issues or shared IP reputation
Possible causes:- VPN, proxy, or corporate network with many users.
- Your IP address has low trust due to previous activity from others.
- Disable VPN/proxy.
- Switch to mobile data or another Wi‑Fi network.
- Restart your router.
3. Automated‑like behaviour
Possible causes:- Page left open for a long time.
- Rapid clicking or form submissions.
- Using script blockers.
- Refresh the page and try again.
- Complete actions at a normal pace.
- Allow scripts to run normally.
4. Cookies or JavaScript disabled
Possible causes:- Browser settings blocking cookies.
- JavaScript disabled.
- Enable cookies.
- Ensure JavaScript is enabled.
- Allow the domain to run necessary scripts.
5. ReCAPTCHA temporary scoring issue
Possible causes:- Google may occasionally score traffic incorrectly.
- Sudden IP or device changes.
- Try again after a few minutes.
- Use a consistent device + network.
