Add-on: UF automatic rental price adjustment

Use this Add-on to automatically recalculate your unit rental prices each month based on the current UF (Unidad de Fomento) exchange rate. When you record a rental price in UF, the Add-on uses that base value to calculate the equivalent Chilean peso price on your chosen day each month. As the UF rate rises, your rental prices rise with it, protecting your revenue from inflation without any manual intervention.

🌎 This Add-on is currently only available to operators in North and South America.

Before you start

Before using this Add-on, you need:
  • The UF automatic rental price adjustment Add-on installed on your account (available from the Add-ons marketplace)
  • The current UF to Chilean peso exchange rate

Setting up the Add-on

Contact support@storeganise.com to install. Once installed it automatically creates the UF price custom field on unit rentals. The UF rate and UF update day fields are configured directly on the Add-on's own settings page.
Configure the Add-on settings
  1. Go to Main settings → Add-ons and open the UF automatic rental price adjustment Add-on
  2. Enter the current UF to Chilean peso exchange rate inUF rate
    1. Example: If 1 UF = 39,700.94 pesos, enter 39700.94  
  3. Enter the day of the month when prices should recalculate inUF update day
    1. Example: Enter 14   to run the recalculation on the 14th of each month
  4. Click Save to confirm your settings

Set up unit rentals with UF pricing
  1. Go to the Unit Rental page for the unit you want to price in UF
  2. Scroll to theCustom Fieldssection and enter the rental price inUF price
    1. Example: If you want to charge 1.5 UF per month, enter 1.5  
  3. Set the rental'sPricefield to match the calculated peso amount (UF price × current UF rate)
    1. Example: If UF price is 1.5 and the UF rate is 39,700.94, set the price to 59,551.41  
  4. Click Save to confirm
The Add-on will now recalculate this rental's price each month on your configured update day.Note: You don't need to set UF pricing on every unit. Unit rentals without a UF price will be skipped and continue using standard pricing.

How it works

On your configured update day, the Add-on automatically:
  1. Checks all unit rentals for a UF price value
  2. Multiplies the UF price by the current UF rate
  3. Updates the rental price to the new amount, rounded to two decimal places
  4. Logs the change in the unit rental's History
Important: Updating the UF rate does not immediately recalculate prices — it only takes effect on the next scheduled update day.
